MRR magazine’s popular “New Blood” section is now becoming a regular feature here on maximumrocknroll.com! See below for info on how to submit. Now, get to discovering some killer new shit…

The Cringe Logo

Band name:

Date & location formed:
Formed around Salem and Boston, MA, in summer 2013.

Reason for forming:
There are a plethora of awesome bands in the state right now. We wanted to kick out the jams and make some boogie music.

What are your lyrics about?
The lyrics are in one form or another about social injustice and personal relationships. Instead of focusing on the decay, I want to give voice to being loud and proud while cruising through a world of engineered inequality and poisoned relationships.

How would you describe your sound?
Cruisin’ and crushing, bluesin’ and blushing.

What is the future for this band?
Got a split live tape with fellow bad boys FLACCID dropping soon, gonna make another appearance on the next Harsh and Hard (Boston area punk comp), and hopefully some vinyl and out of town shows in the near future..

Contact info:

Do you have or know of an awesome new band? It’s easy to submit to be in MRR’s New Blood feature. Just send us the following info, and keep keeping’ it real…
