Monday Photo Blog: Siege!!

November 14th, 2011 by

Had to start my first  Monday Photo Blog with a classic band. I can still remember the first time hearing Siege on the Cleanse The Bacteria comp. Could not believe a band so brutal could come from America. They stood out from all the other bands on that record, and the line-up was some top notch stuff.  So, when the offer came to run some photos of the band I jumped at it. A huge thanks to Kurt Habelt for providing the images.

Send your tour photos, bands that have come through your town, the best of your local bands, etc. to: (note new email address!). Include your name, the band (or subject) in the photo, where and when it was shot, and a link to your website (or flickr, Facebook, or whatever). Just send your best photos — edit tightly. Three to seven photos is plenty, and it’s best to send pictures of different bands. Please do not send watermarked photos. Please make your photos 72 dpi and about 600–800 pixels at the longest side. Not everything sent in will be posted, and a response is not guaranteed, but we do appreciate all of your contributions — and feel free to submit more than once. Thanks!

… these guys were the REAL DEAL live. The pictures certainly capture the mania of their live performances to an extent. I haven’t seen that many bands play such violent, punishing music with clockwork precision the way they did. And they were still teenagers. RIP Kev Mahoney…

Unreal and unhinged – you can see the fury in their eyes in every shot. These are awesome!
