Reason for forming:
Actually this is a transformational band. ROTA was previously a band called KORRUPT. There were some internal problems, so we decided to put KORRUPT to an end. And then we kept moving on with some of the members as ROTA. The reason why we continue to keep on playing and maintaining our spirit as a band is to draw together our interest in d-beat music.

What are your lyrics about?
Mostly they are about our daily lives. Our interactions with people at the office, family, people around us, global issues, friendship, and some self reflection.

How would you describe your sound?
We love d-beat sound and we love to take some other influences even from non-related genres.

What’s in the future for this band?
To keep on playing together not just as a band, but also as a family. To keep our attitudes in line with our lyrics. And to continue to make ourselves better every day.

Band name:
WASONES

Wasones Logo

Date & location formed:
September 2012 – Chihuahua, Mexico.

Reason for forming:
Make songs and touring around Mexico. We don’t look for recognition of any kind, we only wanna play on all the places that give us an opportunity to share our music.

What are your lyrics about?
Problems and situations that young people understand and live. We wanna be the voice of that people. Although some lyrics talks about politics and religion,
is in an indirectly way, because we
want to share a message, not create a debate.

How would you describe your sound?
Punk rock with a female voice full of anger screams and also sweet tones, that makes a difference between other punk rock bands around the world.

What’s in the future for this band?
We don’t wanna be the greatest punk rock band on the world or sell millions of records, we have more realistic goals. We wanna play on every corner of Mexico and transmit our message to as many people as we can. We think that we have more work to do inside than outside of our country
