Cross Human Spirit 12″

A collision between the bleakness of DIE KREUZEN, the paranoia of DEEP WOUND, and the crushing intensity of HERESY. There’s a metallic edge, but the foundation is pure hardcore anxiety. Fast, dark, and completely unforgiving, Human Spirit sounds like a nervous system overloaded by a world built on lies, isolation, and collapse. Lurching between chaotic violence and cold precision, CROSS perfected a fast hardcore sound, while the vocals cut through like a transmission from someone trapped inside the machine. The artwork carries that same hostile energy: stark and stripped of anything decorative, like a warning label. No positive vibes, no fake redemption arc, only survival instinct turned into sound. Human Spirit is hardcore as a pressure valve.

Faster hardcore bands seem to be often overlooked and forgotten. Seminal outfits like HERESY, ELECTRO HIPPIES, or DEEP WOUND helped to solidify the hardcore genre, but somehow got lost in the vocabulary of today’s hardcore scene. Luckily, there are some modern bands that dust off some oldies and give them a new dimension, like NOSFERATU, the ANNIHILATED, and others. CROSS is a fast hardcore band hailing from New York that brings an intense energy to the genre with blistering drums, gritty vocals, and raw guitar riffs. Their songs are short, sharp, and pack a punch, showcasing their ability to deliver high-octane performances that will leave you exhilarated and craving more.
