The Stress Balls Wildcat Sessions EP
There’s something nostalgic going on here, and I don’t think that’s the intention. The STRESS BALLS play straight-up old school punk. It’s lo-fi, no-frills, and it scratches the itch. They aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel, but give you what they’ve got and have a lot of fun doing so! They remind me a lot of Chicago punkers PURE INTENTION, both in delivery and attitude. “2026” is my favorite track here, just dumb punk fun. It reminds me of a vanilla ice cream cone that you’re going to have 60 times this summer. Simple, fun, and classic. Could it be improved? Sure. Does it need to be? Fuck no.
