Svaveldioxid Misär O.D. LP

Is SVAVELDIOXID one of the most prolific hardcore bands of our time? For all I know, there could be powerviolence bands out there proving to be even more generous in terms of releases, but SVAVELDIOXID is definitely the most fertile act when it comes to the D-takt käng realm, with seven LPs and eight EPs in about ten years—even though a significant number of these records are splits, it remains fairly impressive. They are no AGATHOCLES, but they are having a right go. These Swedish masters of the craft do not disappoint with this latest album Misär O.D., and their brand of heavy, dark, and beefy käng always hits the mark. Think WOLFPACK, BOMBRAID, and early SKITSYSTEM having an orgy, basically. There are hints of death metal in some riffs, which works on the whole and is not overwhelming. If you haven’t enjoyed SVAVELDIOXID’s earlier material, this LP is pretty similar, so you’d better stay away from it, but if you have, well, I think you already have it, right?
