Clean, lightly distorted, full-bodied guitars paired with high-octane, non-melodic vocals. Not a novel idea, but STRANGELIGHT pulls this off really well. It’s music for the mature punk, akin to bands like O PIONEERS! and PRETTY BOY FLOYD AND THE FALLEN ANGELS. What are we calling orgcore these days? Cuz that’s what this is. Very solid work here. Modern Phones goes by pretty quickly, so give it a couple spins.
