Gimic New Traditions LP

Killer debut LP from Bristolian DIY punks GIMIC that melds hardcore fury with math rock intricacy. At first listen, New Traditions recalls the jazz-inflected MINUTEMEN, but the clean, arpeggiated guitar work often bursts into frantic punk with vicious vocals. Imagine a moment where playlists crash and GEL plays out of the left earbud while DON CABELLERO plays out of the right, but in perfect synchrony. Now imagine following the link and listening to the whole thing right now, because it rules.
