Early Grave Sewer Baby Eaten by Worms EP
Hardcore for the damned. Deranged, old-school-styled hardcore punk soaked in the dank atmosphere of early extreme metal. Sounds like they wrote this material in a basement in 1983 with a stack of horror films and a bottle of poison as a chaser. EARLY GRAVE smashes together warped USHC, some UK82 abrasion, and Japanese hardcore psychosis, then buries the whole mess in a grave of early black metal. I can hear the ACCÜSED, ZOUO, VENOM, and the ugly back catalogs of ’80s American underground punk, but Sewer Baby Eaten by Worms never feels like a tribute. The riffs are stark black over mutated tempos, while the vocals sound diseased. The whole EP plays like the soundtrack to a midnight horror movie. Rotten to the fucking core.
