Blitzer The New Conspiracy LP

New LP from Berlin’s BLITZER that delivers a tight mix of brisk garage punk with a light egg topping, like the SAINTS meets R.M.F.C. with Peter Hook’s bass tone settings. The title track opens the record with a fast snare roll and post-punk guitar/bass interplay before erupting into some serious classic rock action, albeit reverbed to the center of the Earth and back. This band rips. They also bounce, like on the more playfully catchy tunes like “Dumb” and “Pylon.” BLITZER does a great job of refreshing the tried and true without falling into wacky schtick territory, and The New Conspiracy is a great punk record.
