Battery Acid Battery Acid cassette
Another scorcher from the SoCal hardcore punk scene, which seems to be on a roll lately. L.A.’s BATTERY ACID mixes the speed of KORO with the brutality of NEGATIVE APPROACH, peppering their breakneck attacks with mid-tempo stomps that sound massive and nasty. The drums really stand out for their intensity, but my favorite aspect has to be the vocals, which sound thoroughly disgusted on standouts “Slums” and “Tweaked and Geeked.” BATTERY ACID is a fast favorite, and joins the ranks of other notable acids PUBLIC ACID and ACID CASUALTIES. Recommended.
