If you’ve ever wondered what some of NEGATIVE APPROACH’s songs would sound like if they were recorded with modern production value, you’re in luck, as Boston’s BURN KIT presents straightforward takes on some of Brannon and co.’s best tunes. Not much to say here; all of these covers sound fine, but nothing new is brought to the table other than scrubbing out the grit and charm of the originals with the aforementioned squeaky clean production. An OK if not slightly pointless release.
