Dave Masud Three Quarter Life Crisis CD
Three Quarter Life Crisis is a fine-to-good CD done entirely by DAVE MASUD. I see where DAVE is trying to go with this, but I feel like a full band, or at least calling in some pals to help develop the songwriting, might have made these songs stronger. There are ten fine songs that seem a bit uninspired. The lyrical topics fall across the board from basic life contemplation and how you fit in given that everything dies, to battling family dynamics and self-imposed cultural divisions. I have absolutely no doubt that DAVE MASUD has a lot to say and should be heard, but I do think he should grab a bunch of pals and front a band himself and maybe his songs would feel more organic.
