Fever Visions This Place is Full of Noises LP

Montreal band FEVER VISIONS have released their first full-length, and it might just be the best thing I’ve heard this year. This Place is Full of Noises finds FEVER VISIONS firmly entrenched in the continuum of punk with riffs that are straight out of early ’80s Southern California, vocals that sound very Jello Biafra at times, song structures that reflect the MINUTEMEN but also things like EMBRACE, moments that sound like the REFUSED, and even later post-hardcore. This Place is Full of Noises surges with adrenaline-inducing energy as rhythms linger but shift quickly and in unexpected ways. The closest comparison I might make is Temecula, California’s jazzed-out punkers the COLTRANES, so if you like them, be sure to check out FEVER VISIONS, but you should also just check out This Place is Full of Noises because it’s really fucking good.
