I was stoked when I saw a blurb that compared them to CHOPPER (the Connecticut band that had the Real Genius quote at the beginning of that one song on their 12”), but they meant the UK band CHOPPER, which is still good but different. And to be honest, I don’t really hear it. I would place them more toward SNUFF, but on the more raw and aggressive pop punk end and almost a bit pub punk. Great gang vocals and the perfect amount of slop that makes this a chaotic and dreamy release that is budding with the energy and whirlwind vibes of seasoned veterans of the genre.
