Ritual Disorder Ritual Disorder demo cassette
New demo from the Meanjin (Brisbane), Australia four-piece RITUAL DISORDER. This is a female-fronted post-punk group whose sound is immediately captivating. For a demo, I was expecting something a little rougher, but the recording/production is clean and sounds like they’ve been at it for years. Beyond Cate’s soaring vocals, the rest of the band holds their own with beautiful guitar riffs, urgent, driving bass lines, and really exceptional drumming that some could say is on the brink of distraction, but I think adds a perfect frenzy beneath the drawn-out vocals. This is right up my alley, and I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for more.
