Smarm Lick the Fist EP
Cool little three-song EP out of Cincinnati. The first song, “Lick the Fist,” reminds me a lot of the heavily metal-influenced punk I’m seeing a lot of locally and regionally in the Midwest. It’s a minute-and-a-half of TURBONEGRO-influenced rock’n’roll that’s as dumb as it is fun. “Make Something Happen” is a catchy take on action rock with a chorus made for ’90s college radio, like a catchier and less explosive NEW BOMB TURKS.
