Them Wranch My Friend / You’re Too Much 7″
Here’s two tracks of bastard blues, courtesy of long-defunct Columbus unit THEM WRANCH. Recorded in 1999, the A-side, “My Friend,” is a raw, early version of a song that would go on to appear on the band’s first album, Big Noise From East Maynard, which is a bountiful trove of garage punk twang. The second song, “You’re Too Much,” is a live cover of a 1966 tune by British freakbeat troupe the EYES. And there ain’t nothin’ wrong with this groovy little 45 at all, even if its sole function is to introduce you to this cool-ass, lesser-known group.
