Seven Crowns Haunted Head LP

Stick with me here, because this doesn’t make much sense on paper, but SEVEN CROWNS somehow combine the grooviness of Dio-led BLACK SABBATH, the energy of THURDAY/Black Sails-era AFI, and the absolute musical chaos of MR. BUNGLE, melded into one big ball of timeless, melodic hardcore porridge. The musicianship is great, but the vocalist stands out among the rest due to their versatility, range, and (please pardon the cliché) pure attitude. The moment the singer kicked into gear during their first track (“Haunted Head”), I came to attention and stopped everything else I was doing and just listened.
