PROVOKE

  1. Date & location formed:

    Late 2016 in Oakland, CA.

  2. How did your band come to be?

Moses: Daniel and I wrote a few songs together. Hector and Danny came in a couple months later. When Daniel left to focus on other things, we asked Jenny to sing. Hector moved to guitar, and Danny and I held down the bass and drums.

  3. What are your lyrics about?

Things that are close to our hearts and minds:
    Social issues
    Gentrification and loss of culture
Getting older and still dealing with insecurities
Our own experiences of being immigrants/children of immigrants in this country
    Resistance
Supporting each other and our communities

  4. How would you describe your sound?

Fast hardcore punk w/ breakdowns to sway to.

  5. List something or someone you think folks need to listen to right now.

    Khiis (Oakland)
    Blankie (Oakland)
    Mass Arrest (Oakland/L.A.)
    Tozcos (L.A.)
    SLANT (south Korea)

  6. What’s in the future for this band?

We’re playing manic relapse in april.
    Write new songs.
    Maybe a quick summer tour.
Let us play your living room/house show.

STUNTED

  1. Date & location formed:

Formed in the summer of 2017 in San Francisco.

  2. How did your band come to be?

Watched too many horror movies and listened to too much Big Black and Godflesh.

  3. What are your lyrics about?

This album is a Seven Sins concept album. It felt a little silly at first, and still does to be honest, but it was fun jumping into an album with the general idea and mood of the songs predetermined. It was a lot of fun to experiment with it since I recorded the whole thing at my apartment and our rehearsal space, having the liberty of time on our side with these recordings.

  4. How would you describe your sound?

Industrial and hip hop influenced noise punk.

  5. List something or someone you think folks need to listen to right now.

    lofter

  6. What’s in the future for this band?

    World Tour 2047.

MENTIRA

  1. Date & location formed:

    Late 2016, SÁ£o Paulo/Brazil and Barcelona/Catalunya.

  2. How did your band come to be?

Laura (former Rakta guitarrist and Chroma bassist) came to Brazil for a two week visit. She and Pedro (Gattopardo’s bassist, half of Buraco Negro, Pedro em Ibiza) got together to jam some songs and play one show. It turned out good so we recorded a demo that eventually became our upcoming 7″. Next year Laura’s back to SÁ£o Paulo for a week so we recorded more tracks for another 7″ and did a couple of shows. We decided to take it serious and our tour in UK an Europe this year will probably mean our band’s settled — so far it had only four shows.

  3. What are your lyrics about?

The psychological clash from personal to universal in a dystopian world where power is in the hands of technocrats and filthy business men that are leaving people in the shit whilst everybody acts sedated by everyday-life in its own individualistic ill and melancholic mindset.

  4. How would you describe your sound?

Simple DIY music made for everybody listening to. The bursting beats and noises from an old Casiotone keyboard helps up with that feeling.

  5. What’s in the future for this band?

We have two upcoming 7″ and one flexi disc through Nada Nada Discos (BR) and DÁª O Fora (SP). April till May we’ll be touring the UK and Europe, but before that we definitely need some rehearsal time. During our shared time in Europe we plan record a full LP.

We’re looking for gigs in Bremen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Bordeaux, and anywhere nearby all there. Hit us up!

PANIKO

  1. Date & location formed:

    2016, Basque country.

  2. How did your band come to be?

We’ve all played on and on in other bands. We wanted to do something fast and furious.

  3. What are your lyrics about?

Our songs talk about the things that we see, things that bother us and that influence us on a daily basis. Sexism, capitalism, war…

  4. How would you describe your sound?

    Angry and fast hardcore punk.

  5. What’s in the future for this band?

Tocar en directo donde podamos y sacar nuevos temas. Pronto saldra un cassette con 12 canciones.
