“New Blood” is our weekly feature spotlighting new bands from around the world! See below for info on how to submit. Now, check out some killer new shit…ultimoimperio3

Band name:
ÚLTIMO IMPERIO

Date & location formed:
Fall of 2014 in Mexico Shitty.

Reason for forming:
HC punk band CRIMEN, broke up so the drummer G.G. and me (alex, bass) wanted to keep playing together. We had a couple of riffs and Edna interested in singing, so we asked our friend Branny from Zotz if he wanted to play guitar and he said yes.

What are your lyrics about?
Personal lyrics about daily life in Mexico City, shitty people, shitty friends, shitty life, being shitty, being surrounded by all this shit thinking we are not part of it when in fact we are. our shit city, our shit world

How would you describe your sound?
Its punk, we don’t want to sound exactly like some 80s subgenere, we like UK anarcho like Flux, Rudimentary Peni, etc, some darker punk like Wipers, Oi! and Hardcore.

What’s in the future for this band?
Self releasing the demo tape and see where it goes from there, hopefully some vinyl, more gigs write more songs, see the world, if you like this and have a label, get in touch!

Band name:
TECHNICAL ECSTACY

Date & location formed:
A while ago, I think. In Rome, NY

Reason for forming:
The bands we were playing in didn’t satisfy that much and our friend Malcolm moved back to Rome from Pennsylvania so we started a band with the same lineup we did in another band a few years prior.

What are your lyrics about?
Being outside of the world, losing your hearing.

How would you describe your sound?
People always make a drug reference when describing us, somebody once said we remind them of The Crucifucks but we’re really way better than that. Our guitar player really likes Crime and The Weirdos and you can definitely hear that in some of the songs.

What’s in the future for this band?
Better demo tape out soon, hopefully followed by a tour, a flexi, a 7″, a split LP with a band that definitely won’t do a split LP with us, etc…

Band name:
THE BLOW INS

Date & location formed:
September 2014, Dublin, Ireland.

Reason for forming:
Too cold outside. Too much rain. Shit jobs. Low overall satisfaction with life. And drinking in pubs is way too expensive.

What are your lyrics about?
Wasting your time in virtual reality. Bastard cops. Catholic hegemony and religious vomit. Polish illusions of being the nation chosen by God. Losing grip on reality. Social disconnection. Pent up anger.

How would you describe your sound?
Punk. We like Wipers, Masshysteri, The Estranged and many more bands we have heard since we got into our one and only beloved PUNK!

What’s in the future for this band?
Cassettes, maybe some self-released vinyl, a couple local gigs, and probable split up after making a few new tunes and emigrating to warmer countries.
