Recording project from East Dallas, Texas. On this recording, one person handles all the instrumentation and programs the drum machine, while the other is on vocal duty. Uptempo repetitive riffs with gritty, gravelly, gruff vocals. The songs are catchy enough, everything is played well, and the recording is done very professionally. “For the Boys” feels like the latest installment of a modern band trying to write an Oi! classic. Seven songs in total, six originals and a COCKSPARRER cover which doesn’t feel particularly necessary, more like padding to make the release just a little longer. The best song, in my opinion, is the rock’n’roll-inspired “OKMF,” purely for the piano part. I think this recording project has turned into a full live band since the release of this cassette.
