DREAM WORLD is out of Richmond, Virginia, and earlier this summer, they released their self-titled inaugural full-length through Sorry State. DREAM WORLD has a familiar feeling to their sound, with classic punk riffs laying the groundwork and a sense of distaste towards everything currently being promoted by the oligarchs—a message that is at the very heart of all that is punk. “Submission” is my favorite track with its anti-work morality, and is it just me, or is DREAM WORLD not so subtly nodding to the similarly named SEX PISTOLS song? Now before you roll your eyes and write this record off due to that reference, let me just reiterate for the thousandth time how much I appreciate creative, concise hardcore punk, and DREAM WORLD is certainly that.
