Navaja Sin Sangre cassette
Seven tracks of hardcore punk from Chicago, IL. The songs are short, the riffs are driving, and the vocals are barked in a maniacal way. All songs are sung in Spanish. Nothing here is particularly memorable or mind-blowing, but they are certainly a solid, nasty hardcore punk band that sounds like they would be very powerful live. Tapes exist in a quantity of only 30, so get on it if you’re interested in having a physical copy. There is no differentiation between the A-side and B-side on the tape itself. No labels, no printing, no marker writing. Mine came with the B-side rewound, causing my first listen of the band’s preferred track list to be experienced backwards. My favorite part of NAVAJA’s physical media package was getting to enjoy and appreciate the juvenile, castle-storming, belligerent insert artwork while the songs played.
