Subvermes Rumo ao Pior CD

Brazil’s SUBVERMES don’t waste time dressing up their message. Rumo ao Pior is fifteen tracks of D-beat-fueled crust that occupies land somewhere between DISCHARGE, LÄRM, and RATOS DE PORÃO. With enough grind flashes to keep things frantic, the production is filthy without turning into mush. Lyrically, it’s all anti-fascism, anti-authoritarianism, environmental destruction, Indigenous struggles, and class warfare. Protest music in the best sense, backed by real conviction. Tossing in covers of DISCHARGE and DOOM makes perfect sense, because SUBVERMES clearly understand the tradition. Loud, fast, and pissed.
