Futile Force

Consec Demo cassette

Killer lo-fi hardcore/punk from Athens, Georgia. CONCEC’s debut release clocks in at just over four minutes—very brief but very effective, taking no more time than is needed. The vocals are snotty and the instrumentation is riffy and intense. This rough-and-ready dose of HC shows off a lot of future potential and is a much recommended listen to anybody who likes their hardcore punk on the scrappier and primitive side.

Foodeater Foodeater cassette

A truly rabid hardcore attack from Athens, GA, FOODEATER comes in too fast for love on this tape’s first track and barely lets up for the remaining twelve songs. Rarely do we get this type of blistering punk at such volume, especially on a debut effort. What they lack in subtlety and nuance they make up for with rowdy relentlessness and conviction, and this cassette should come with a little packet of aspirin.

Snuki Demo 001 cassette

Six rage-filled songs of plodding, fuzzed-out, nasty hardcore punk. Shockingly memorable despite these songs being completely devoid of anything standardly deemed “catchy.” SNUKI sounds like they would be very appreciated by the lovers of CULT RITUAL and other popular mysterious guy HC bands from a handful of years ago, but it’s certainly not on that same powerhouse level. It is a bold claim numbering your very first demo with multiple zeros in front of the one. I expect at least 99 more demos from SNUKI, or I want it known that I am now officially on record as being pissed about it.
